just been shirt designing and adding artist to my blog pages. im very exicited!!
ive been asking around and finally im making my own shirts. im taking orders. $25 bucks a shirt.

THE SPIRIT

influnced by WILL EISNER. learn his storytelling in college. His character a cool charcter. ive had an itch to draw him. here's is my take at the SPIRIT.

i was having coffee this morning. my nephew diego was walking around eating cholocate chip pancakes and i was watchin his 2 year gesters bounce around. i had a piece of paper near hand and i just drew random sketchs of my nephew. i just added a splash of color for more depth.

ive been sketchin as much as i can. i dont feel i do enough. i have my room filled with pencil sketchs. i actually enjoy the mess.

yuck.... still sick!

i still have this cold and i feel crappy. i was doing good a couple days ago. But today i feel like i got hit with a big bag of shit. i feel like a walkin zombie. ive just finished up some banners for a client on myspace. if he use it great if not so-kay! i got paid and that alls matters. kidding i hope he uses the banners. on other art note. ive been working a calander with my girlyfriend about her son. i have 12 vector illustrations with 12 comic strips to follow on the calander. im using the sofa kingdom style. too.
so we are pushin to have these out for next year release.

Happy belated HALLOWEeen!
im a bit under the weather. stupid smarch weather. i got a funkin cold and i missed out on some tricks and treat. this past week ive been drawing out abunch of SOFA KINGDOM strips first then adding the words afterwords. i got a one story written from my co creator as posted from last postin..

i had one strip i had in mind for the trio in a contest and DAIVD winning unknowing and clueless. im also as a creator try to learn more about the characters and hopefull make them more rounded character to play off one another. i have what the reef character is a (hot-head) that david won and he didnt. i like the look for ali's kanye west costume. its from the glow in the dark tour.

i plan to post more strips here as well work more on writting.

Comic's of the 90's.. SPAWN

I got into comics around earily 90's. Around this same time IMAGE COMICS was starting up. Ive only heard of this guy Mcfarlane and didnt no what he look like. I only knew he drew SPAWN. His signature on his cover caught my attention with the little banner. i found out after Spawn that he worked on Spiderman. His style was what i wanted to draw. i was goin through some old photos runing down memory lane and wanted to draw this SPAWN piece. I think i drew him a couple of times for friends. Nothing fancy!! I infused my SOFA KINGDOM STYLE to SPAWN. Its nothing like Mcfarlane. but its still cool. iM working on the color right now.

8 bit sofa...:)

ive been crankin out art mostly every day. im still postin all of the sofa kingdom pages that where rejected from ZUDA.COM on myspace. i was influence by the movie KING of kong documentary . that i created this sofa kingdom piece to look like 8-bit.

Speakin of sofa... i was asked to be in a gallery for september. and i was ask to put anything in there. seeing how i was short on time but wanted to promote sofa kingdom anyway i could. cause no else is going to. unless i dish out money and hire a promoter and that just freakin nuts. besides i love the characters. so here is my piece that i submitted. so we seee. THE BIG RACE!! SOFA STYLE # 1

well its been more then a month of receiving the news that my co-created online comics strip SOFA KINGDOM was rejected by DC COMICS ZUDA.COM
The strips will be posted every week on the myspace site http://www.myspace.com/sofakingdomstrip i had a blast working on this story arch. it was base off an existing three strip that my co creator come up with. I espically like the word play is in these strips. i like how shariff (writer) has the kids talking. espically the the first strip that is posted!

well i dont think of this as a failed project. it actually taught me some new photoshop tricks as well as my storytelling for how the characters are displayed.

I was sitting at borders bookstore sketching and i was looking at the artbook of FRANK MILLERS 300.
I came up with this one in my style.

ive been working on a list of characters that i wanted to draw in my "Sofa style" art.
i have at less10 illustrations of starwars characters that ive been itching to draw. i mean ive been a fan and if any characters i recall drawin in my plus 20 something years on this earth has been BOBA FETT. ive just been workin out the kinks and at the same time just having fun. I was watching the makin of star wars last night when i was sketching. this piece i have posted with LUKE AND LEIA swing by in the deathstar caught my attention to draw.
i had fun with this piece. more to come soon.

Tonight im going to see the new BATMAN movie "DARK KNIGHT" with my nephew and i was inspired to post this picture.
I was sketching some rough idea of the character and this morning i came up with my version of how Joker would lookin in my SOFA STYLE.
This was no more then a sketch-color practice. I had fun and will plan to draw this villian again.

Getting ready for wizard world chicago in two weeks. I still have my nine to five that im still putting stuff out as far as storyboard art and logos.
im doing a logo design for a local ice cream shop with a hispanic feel . "LA CHINA" something that has to do what the day of the dead in MEXICO.
